PFAS management

The forever chemicals

  • PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a large group of man-made “forever chemicals” used in many products for their heat, water, and oil repellent properties.

  • These persistent chemicals accumulate in the environment and human body, posing serious health risks including cancer, immune dysfunction, liver damage, thyroid disease, and developmental issues even at very low concentrations regulated in drinking water.

Strict regulation

  • The European Union has set regulatory limits for PFAS in drinking water.

  • A maximum limit of 0.5 µg/L for the total sum of PFAS in drinking water.

  • Imagine a giant Olympic-sized swimming pool filled with 2.5 million liters of sparkling blue water. Now, visualize just one tiny drop of bright red ink gently dropped into that entire pool. The red drop represents the maximum amount of PFAS allowed—0.5 micrograms per liter—so incredibly small that it barely tints the vast volume of clean water.

The whole gang

Besides PFAS, other emerging and unexplored contaminants (Pesticides, Pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, hormones, Heavy metals, Disinfection byproducts, Industrial chemicals and solvents, Nanomaterials and microplasticts) can also be present in drinking water, complicating water safety and underscoring the importance of advanced treatment solutions.

  • We provide water treatment systems installed at the building’s water inlet, ensuring contaminants (like PFAS) are removed before water reaches tenant taps.

  • Treating water at the source offers superior protection by proactively safeguarding health, reducing long-term exposure, and increasing tenant confidence in water quality.

  • This feature significantly enhances safety by intercepting contaminants early and delivering clean, safe water throughout the building
